NYC Running Races intends to be the most comprehensive list of running races in the New York metro area. Our goal is to spread the word that there's more to running in New York than the NYRR races in Central Park. Yes, those are great, but a change of scenery is nice every once in a while...

We're devoted to running only and will not include information about other races (including triathalons, biking, swimming, etc.) And, as the name implies, it is only for races in the NYC area. Rather than making a huge nationwide directory (which we'd have no chance of being able to maintain properly), we decided to focus on our hometown.

Who is this we? Well, for now, it's actually an I: Robert James Reese of Ink Plant put this site together and is maintaining it. Hopefully it will get big enough in the future that others will be able to help a little with the maintenence.
